Five goals by the Washington Capitals halts our hot streak as Alexander Ovechkin could not find the back of the net as the Caps rolled the Bolts, but we will march on as we have a double header on ABCtoday as both games are mid-day as the Blues head to MoTown to take on the Wings & the Rangers look to make it 10 in a row as they take on the Flyers in the City of Brotherly Love.

Another Saturday game during the day featuring the Blues, as they take on the Red Wings at noon. There is nothing not to like about them as they are indeed the better team in my opinion that Detroit. The Red Wings have already announced that Lyon will be in net as he has played in four of the teams last six games going 2-2 in them but it was not easy as those two wins were in overtime, and overall have let up four or more goals in three of those games. On the flip side Binnington looks to get the nod as he has started the teams last four of five, going 2-2. Most recently shutting out the islanders on 2.22.24. There is enough value to take the Blues on the road with Binnington in net, if that changes that game will likely be a pass as thy will likely move to +150ish and i don’t feel comfortable playing them at that number.
The Play: STL ML +125 (contingent if Binnington plays) Pass if Hofer Starts.
NYR @ PHI
The Rangers look to make it 10 in a row as they take on their old coach John Tortarella as they head to Philly. Igor looks to regain some of his form back as he gave up 3 goals since the third period of Sunday’s Stadium Series game. Philly continues to struggle as they have won two of their last five games, beating the Blackhawks and Coyotes who are on the back end of the standings in the league. There is still so much to figure out with them as the are still trying to find a steady netminder, while Ersson might be with the Hart issue, the verdict is still out, on the other hand it’s hard to bet against a team with nine straight wins but all things come to an end but will this be it? Or will they tie their franchise record in wins in a row with ten?
The Play: Pass
