Just like that opening night is done (kinda) as “opening night” is a week long even while teams have their first games whether it be at home or on the road. Both the Sabres and Kraken will have their home openers tonight as both teams are a combined 0-4-1 in their last five games. Colorado looks to remain undefeated while Tampa looks to figure out their goaltending giving up 14 goals in 3 games.

Seven goals is A LOT of goals in terms of a NHL over/under but here we are two two teams that can score with very shaky goaltending. Both goalies combined have a sub 900 save percentage, and have over 7 GAA in the very short start to the season. Expect goals to come in bunches as Tampa can easy light up 5 against any team. While on the flip side asking (or wanting) the Sabers to get three is not out of the question going against a shaky netminder in Tampa Bay

Two of the better goaltenders square off out west as Gregoiev is already confirmed for the Avs’ while Seattle has had its last two games off figure to have Grubauer between the pipes. Trends speak volumes as mentioned above. While a lot of there history has been in the playoffs, the under still seems to hit while dating back to 2022 the number has been 5.5 four times, 6 five times and 6.5 just once (when they first met in Seattle’s first year in the league) Expect there to be another low scoring affair while we are getting a extra goal to work with as it is up to 6.5 and goals will be at a premium.
