Much better.

Last week, I wrote about how impossible it was for the games to continue to play close to their spreads, and we finally got some relief from it. With the relief came a much better record.

We obviously want that to continue this week, but we also need to consider that the schedule is wide open and back to a full 16-game set. There are no byes at the moment — even though they will return shortly. We can absolutely welcome the larger set of options, especially if the numbers are all going to move back toward the mean where we can continue to gain an edge.

Below are predictions for each game against the spread. Spreads have been taken from various websites and are subject to change. The spread in parenthesis denotes the selected team. Spread is listed as advertised number and odds at either DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook, or PointsBet. All efforts were made to provide picks at -110 or better, with some stretching to a -125 if no reasonable advertised spread was found.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Buffalo Bills

One of the reasons why I pay close attention to what people are saying about teams is because we can see how quickly it shifts.

The Buffalo Bills lost to the Jets on Opening Night and were immediately questioned. They went on to win three consecutive games and apparently answer said questions. Three weeks later, they were 1-2 with a near-victory over that span and, again, the doubts resurfaced.

I get it.
