By this point of the season, we usually start to see some direction for the type of picks that win and lose. Instead, we continue to hover through the year, waiting for a sign.
Given what I wrote over the past few weeks, this isn’t too surprising. The spreads really have been close to many games’ final scores, and that has obviously forced us to keep a delicate balance between winning and losing. Still, we should start to see ‘traps’ working regularly — or not — or we should see massive favorites covering with ease — or not. So far, all we have had is a week-by-week approach that has emphasized caution.
This is why we don’t take anything — numbers, teams, picks — for granted. We reset every week and see if something is emerging. For this upcoming set of games, we actually have a nice mix of favorable spreads and teams that are still changing their perception. We can’t ask for much more than that.
Below are predictions for each game against the spread. Spreads have been taken from various websites and are subject to change. The spread in parenthesis denotes the selected team. Spread is listed as advertised number and odds at either DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook, or PointsBet. All efforts were made to provide picks at -110 or better, with some stretching to a -125 if no reasonable advertised spread was found.

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
Oh boy.
Those were the words that slipped through my lips when I saw that the Thursday Night Football game would feature the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs and the 1-4 Denver Broncos who just lost to the Jets after trash-talking New York’s offseason plans.
