I’m not even sure that I would have noticed it had I not changed each of the “9s” to “10s” in this article. That is, we are actually past the halfway point of the 2022 season, and it has legitimately felt like a blur.

I make it a point to highlight when we close out the first quarter of the year, and I must mention that halftime just ended. Still, the amount of drama and oddities that we have seen helped move this year along at a frantic pace. If we needed further proof of that, look no further than a team firing its head coach to turn to an analyst who was a former player for the franchise. That’s the 2022 season in a nutshell.

That, and teams like the Rams, Packers, Buccaneers, and Steelers all sitting below .500.

The second-half is about to begin. It’s time to get back out there and compete.

Below are predictions for each game against the spread. Spreads have been taken from various websites and are subject to change. The spread in parenthesis denotes the selected team. Spread is listed as advertised number and odds at either DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook, or PointsBet. All efforts were made to provide picks at -110 or better, with some stretching to a -125 if no reasonable advertised spread was found.

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers

I was stunned when I first heard the news. I then let it settle in and allowed it to make sense. It did.

The Carolina Panthers played an inspired game against the Atlanta Falcons a few weeks ago that was highlighted by quarterback P.J. Walker delivering a would-be game-winning touchdown pass that only sent the team to overtime because of a self-inflicted penalty. One week later, the Panthers were destroyed by the Bengals while the Falcons were giving a game away to the Chargers.
