Overview

With 325 laps for today’s race, it is another one where we need more than one dominator. The cash route for the top 2 dominators is fairly straight forward but after that you can get different.

Top Tier: Over 10k

1.Kevin Harvick $11700 (Starting 9th): He will be chalk. He’s been incredible here over the last decade and especially in the last 5 years. He’s led over 100 laps in 4 of the last 5 races here and also had 38 or more fastest laps in each race as well. Play him. (ALL)

2.Joey Logano $10500 (Starting 3rd): This is a GPP play if you aren’t playing one of Chase or Harvick. He hasn’t led that many laps here but does collect fastest laps and has 2 wins on the season already. Basically, he’s a win or bust play here and I’m okay with trying it in GPPs. (GPP)

3.Jimmie Johnson $10200 (Starting 15th): I don’t like when Jimmie is this price but he’s been pretty good this season as has Hendrick. He won back to back races in 2015 and 2016 and has 5 wins here overall. Top 5 with some led laps and fastest laps isn’t out of the realm of possibilities for this 7 time champ. (GPP)

Mid-High Tier: 8500-10k

1.Chase Elliott $9900 (Starting 1st): The other cash dominator play. Easily could lead 100 laps here, has been on a roll these last few weeks, and is starting to assert himself as a one of the top 5 drivers in the cup series. (ALL)

2.Brad Keselowski $8900 (Starting 6th): Brad has won the last 2 races in the cup series, granted he really didn’t deserve to win either and lucked into both, but he’s in a contract year, and is looking to win the title this season. The last 3 races here 1st, 2nd, and 1st here with some good late race racing. I like him for GPPs for sure here. (GPP)

3.Martin Truex Jr. $9600 (Starting 11th): He has better PD upside than the guys in this range and he’s a great long run racer. 5 top 10s in the last 5 races here and no top 5s yet this season, I’d look for him to get his first top 5. (ALL)

4.Kurt Busch $9400 (Starting 12th): The better brother this season in terms of actual driving, not finishing position, he has 2 top 5s in the last 4 races and finished top 10 in all 4. Has led 50+ laps in 2/4 races and I’ll be playing him in GPP for sure, and maybe cash. (ALL)

Mid-Low Tier: 6500-8500

1.Christopher Bell $7400 (Starting 27th): Good PD play here. Chalk for good reason. He was able to hang with the cup guys when they raced in Xfinity and I’m excited to see what he can do in the cup car here. He’s got 2 top 10s this season, and he’s improved greatly since the start of the season. Give me all the Bell this weekend. (ALL)

2.Erik Jones $6600 (Starting 14th): Another chalk play. Draftkings keeps lowering his price and I think its stupid how cheap he is. In GPPs I think you can fade in some lineups and hope for a crash or bad day. But an auto play in cash (ALL)

3.Tyler Reddick $8300 (Starting 24th): Another rookie that’s doing really well this season. He’s quite good on tracks you can run high on, which you can at Atlanta.

4.Matt Kenseth $8100 (Starting 19th): In his last 3 races here, he’s got a 3rd, 19th, and 5th. I don’t think he’ll be highly owned with all the guys around his price range that people would prefer to play. Love Kenseth as a GPP play. (GPP)

5.Ricky Stenhouse Jr. $7600 (Starting 22nd): Has a top 10 here in the last 5 years and surprisingly doesn’t wreck much here. Obviously a GPP play because it is risky, but I like it if 20 maxing. (GPP)

Low Tier: Under 6500

1.Cole Custer $6100 (Starting 31st): Chalk play. Play him in cash, can also play him in GPPs. (ALL)

2.Ty Dillon $6300 (Starting 28th): Has two top 20s here in 4 races, don’t mind him as a pivot off Custer in GPPs (GPP)

3.Ryan Preece $6200 (Starting 29th): Another good pivot off of Custer, like him for GPPs (GPP)

4.Michael McDowell (Starting 36th): The only reason I am mentioning him is because everyone is going to play him in cash to get 3 top guys in their lineup. Don’t expect anything higher than 25th and more than likely 30th. Does create a nicer block for cash in case he does get that top 20. Definitely fade in GPP. (Cash)
