Overview

Atlanta – 130 laps
Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott are in the race again, along with John Hunter Nemechek, Ross Chastain and Brennan Poole. This article is going to look very similar to last weeks truck race, and I’d expect it to do well.

Top Tier: Over 10K

1.Kyle Busch $14000 (Starting 6th): It’s Kyle Busch in a truck, normally I’d say it’s a no brainer but with Chase Elliott in the field it gives him some more competition than normal, however, with him starting closer to the front than Elliott, I’m inclined to believe he gets to the front first to lead laps. He’s had 72 fastest laps in the last 3 races here and led 137 laps in those 3 races. I’ll start my cash with Kyle, and probably most of my GPP’s too. (ALL)

2.Chase Elliott $13000 (Starting 13th): Perfect GPP play again, maybe even try and stuff him into cash with Busch. Has a bit more PD upside than Busch but he’s not starting mid 20s like he did last week. I’d expect a top 5 finish but you need more than that to get a takedown in GPP’s. (ALL)

3.Ross Chastain $11300 (Starting 27th): Give me Ross in GPP’s paired with either Kyle or Elliott. Great PD potential, finished 6th here last year, looked good last week but got a bit loose and really hurt the truck. (GPP)

FADE: John Hunter Nemechek

Mid-High Tier: 8500-10K

1.Johnny Sauter $9800 (Starting 10th): In the last 3 races he’s finished 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd. He’s likely a pretty chalky cash play along with Busch for good reason, and I think I’ll end up with him in cash as well. Cash play with GPPupside as well. (ALL)

2.Matt Crafton $8900 (Starting 14th): Back to the well with Crafton. Last week I played tons of him and he had something break on the truck and he finished near the back. When Busch wasn’t in the races Crafton led 161 laps in those 2 races, had 57 fastest laps and finished 30th, and 1st. In the last 3 races he has a 14th, a 5th, and a 2nd. (GPP)

3.Brett Moffit $9200 (Starting 3rd): He’s finished 4th, 1st, and 11th in his last 3 races here and he looked really good for parts of the race last week and I’d expect him to continue to look good. He’s more of a GPPplay starting so close to the front, but he could easily lead lap 1 and get a few more led laps before Busch and Elliott get up there. (GPP)

4. Jeb Burton $8700 (starting 26th): He’s in a Niece motorsports trucks and generally they are pretty good. He has solid PD potential, but I’m not sure I get there in cash. (All)

Mid-Low Tier: 7000-8500 (I don’t really love this range very much)

1.Ben Rhodes $7700 (Starting 8th): Hasn’t finished below 6th in the last 4 races here. Makes for an interesting GPP play as he could easily finish top 5 again. (GPP)

2.Raphael Lessard $8100 (Starting 19th): He’s not going to get much ownership with the cup guys being in this race and the guys in the range below this being chalk, but I like him here as a way to get different. He’s got PD potential and is in a KBM truck so he should have the tools to pull out a top 10 here if things go his way (GPP)

3.Spencer Davis $8300 (Starting 34th): The only reason I listed him is for if this becomes a crash fest. His truck sucks but he doesn’t have a 13th place finish here. A bit steep for someone so risky but if you’re playing 20 lineups, have 1 or 2 Davis wouldn’t hurt. (Extreme GPP)

Value Tier: Under 7k

1.Brennan Poole $6400 (Starting 24th): He was the absolute stone cold lock of last slate and he crash. I’ll be going straight back to him as he’s too cheap and was running top 10 for a lot of last race. (ALL)

2.Jesse Little $6600 (Starting 35th): Again, he will be in my cash line, as well as about 80% of the fields cash lines. I don’t mind fading in GPP’s as he didn’t look THAT great last race, but in cash he’s a must. (ALL)

3.Jen Joe Cobb $5000 (Starting 38th): She’s really not going to do much other than finish ahead of the trucks that crash, but she’s got good PD potential starting 38th. She may end up in my cash line, but I’m going to try and get the guy I mention next before her. (ALL)

4.Korbin Forrester $5400 (Starting 33rd): Hasn’t finished outside of mid 20s at atlanta in the last 5 races, really love him In this race. (ALL)

I’m going to stop naming drivers to play here, but for this range I think the only ones 100% fade worthy are Timmy Hill, Cody Rohrbaugh, Angela Ruch, Derek Kraus and Tanner Gray.
