Overview
Not as many laps to lead today with it being a 2.5 mile track. Generally speaking, guys starting in the top 10 win this race as track position is key. It is raining today and possibly tomorrow as well so it’s a lower BR type of day.
Cash
1.Erik Jones $7100 (Starting 19th): This is probably his best track and he’s again way too cheap. JGR cars shouldn’t be this cheap. In his last 5 races here, he has 4 top 10s including 3 straight top 5s. Love him for all formats here, as will everyone else. (ALL)
2.Kyle Busch $9300 (Starting 4th): How the best driver in the cup series at a track where he’s won 3 of the last 5 races is under 10k makes no sense to me. He’s led laps in all of the last 5 races, and is my personal pick to win today. (ALL)
3.Denny Hamlin $8800 (Starting 3rd): Hugely underpriced. 4 top 10s in his last 5 races here, including a win last time out. I’m definitely playing him in cash and I can see a GPP fade with some other guys around him being in good spots as well. (CASH)
4.William Byron $8400 (Starting 16th): Good track history here, has looked very good the last few weeks as well. 3 top 10s in his 4 starts at Pocono in the cup series, I like him for all formats here. (ALL)
GPP
1.Kevin Harvick $10100 (Starting 9th): 4 top 10s in his last 5 Pocono races, has had great cars since the restart of Nascar, and you get a discount off of what he would normally be priced, I love him for gpp’s. (GPP)
2.Ryan Preece $5800 (Starting 30th): This is someone most people probably play in cash. While I agree if he’s the last one in, he’s more of a gpp play for me. Not going to win the race, but 20th place is about his upside here. (GPP)
3.Cole Custer $6400 (Starting 25th): Has a win here in xfinity, is in a SHR car and needs to start proving his worth. I’ll take a shot on him in gpp’s. (GPP)
4.Christopher Bell $11,100 (Starting 36th): I’ve included him because you can make some pretty different lineups by going with bell. You’ll have to choose so other dominators than the typical ones, but this play has huge upside. (GPP)
