Twenty in a row! The Cleveland Indians have tied the Oakland A’s for the longest win streak in MLB History. A remarkable record for the Indians, there is not a team that can beat them in baseball. They face the Tigers today, then the Royals, followed by a series in LA, and Seattle. They can easily sweep all of these games but I don’t think they will. By the way this was all done with out Andrew Miller in the bullpen.
Low-Scoring Plays
Atlanta Braves @ Washington Nationals- Max Scherzer gets the ball for the Nationals who have already clinched the division. Look for Scherzer to go out and dominate this game today, but I don’t think the Nationals will keep him in the game long. If he has a shut out in the 6th I wouldn’t be surprised if the Nationals took him out. The Braves won’t do anything in this game and are not a threat to Scherzer.
Targets: Scherzer, Rendon
L.A. Dodgers @ San Francisco Giants- As we know the Giants are not a good team, there beloved Sandoval has came back and been even worse. The Dodgers need to get back to their winnings ways and luckily they have Darvish on the mound. The Dodgers clinched the play offs last night so they should be playing loose and having fun with the game. The pressure is off look for Darvish to go out and shine in this one.
Targets: Darvish, Bellinger
New York Mets @ Chicago Cubs- Jon Lester vs. Matt Harvey can be the pitching match up of the day. Harvey wasn’t bad in his last outing, he wasn’t fantastic but not bad. Jon Lester is a play that I love today. The Mets are about to be eliminated and Jon Lester should put the nail in the coffin in this one. There is no one in this line up that can bat anymore. Jose Reyes has been playing lights out of late but its too late.
Targets: Lester, Rizzo
High-Scoring Plays
Oakland A’s @ Boston Red Sox- Oakland has been getting rocked by everyone lately and this is perfect for a Boston team that needs runs badly and needs win badly. I would stack as many Red Sox as I could in this game. Benintendi is due for a big game, Hanley is always a home run threat and Betts is always a great play. At home Boston should score a plethora of runs in this game.
Targets: Benintendi, Betts, Ramirez
Miami Marlins @ Philadephia Phillies- The Phillies are the worst team in the MLB and the Marlins should be able to win this game big. Stanton can be argued as the MVP of the NL this year, I think it will come down between him and Votto. Look for Stanton to jack one here in this game. He is due for a home run he hasn’t hit one in two days.
Targets: Stanton, Gordon, Bour
