ALL RISE- Judge hit another home run for his league leading 19th of the year. With all the new technology in baseball, exit velocity has became a stat that I love. Judge just set the record as his home run exited Yankee Stadium at 121 MPH. The Yankees were all over the Orioles as they win their 4th in a row.
Cespedes returned to the Mets line up in fashion as he hit a grand slam in his first game back. I had Cespedes in my line up but thought, it’s too good to be true he won’t come out slugging, right out of the gate. Naturally Cespedes has a great game and bites me in the but.
We have a full slate of games with some starting in the early afternoon. My line up is here for you, hopefully we can win back some money I lost on the Belmont-thanks for nothing Irish War Cry.
Low-Scoring Plays
Texas Rangers @ Washington Nationals-Scherzer takes the mound for the Nationals who has been nothing short of spectacular this season. I like Scherzer to pass Sale in the league lead in strike outs-meaning he will have a double digit strike out game. If the Rangers were completely healthy I would still like Scherzer in this one- he doesn’t give up home runs and pitching at home he has been dominated. Trea Turner didn’t have any points yesterday so look for him to have a bounce back day today.
Targets: Turner, Scherzer
New York Mets @ Atlanta Braves- The Mets shut down the Braves in both games yesterday. Now Seth Lugo makes his long anticipated return against the Braves. A double header is always tough and now they have to turn around and play an afternoon game. I like Lugo to have a great game to get all the Mets fans hopes up thinking they have a shot this season. Bruce, and Cespedes could do damage but players like Reyes are just having a terrible season. The Mets won’t score like they did yesterday and Lugo is fresh so he should have a good outing.
Target: Lugo, Cespedes, Walker
Colorado Rockies @ Chicago Cubs- As soon as I think a team is turning the corner they go and stink up the place-i.e. Cubs and Red Sox- The Rockies beat up on the Cubs yesterday as Blackmond continues on his tear this season. Arrieta vs. Senzatela should be the pitching match up of the day. I am going to side with the Cubs to have a bounce back game at home. Arrieta isn’t having his best season but I think he will be a good play. He is only $8700 but can put up the numbers that the top pitchers do. If you can’t afford Archer, Scherzer, or Ray, Arrieta will be a strong play.
Targets: Arrieta, Rizzo
High-Scoring Plays
Toronto Blue Jays @ Seattle Mariners-Paxton looks to keep his season perfect and pick up his 6th win. On the other side, Haps is looking to pick up his first win. Haps has 5 appearances this year and only 25 innings pitched-a little bit of mental math leads us to see he only goes 5 innings per game. The Blue Jays bull pen isn’t stellar as their ERA is 4.20 ranked 14th in the league. I love Seattle in this one at home, look to stack a couple of their players.
Targets: Cano, Cruz
Baltimore Orioles @ New York Yankees- The Yankees are hot and are seeking their 5th win a row. I like the Yankees to pick of the win as Guasman isn’t the greatest arm in the Orioles rotation. Hicks and Sanchez has both been hot of late. Carter is hitting the ball better than normal, and we know what Judge can do. Judge is too much money for my liking the only outfielder I feel comfortable spending that money on is Harper, however the rest of the Yankees will be great plays. Brett Gardner will be a sleeper in this game as all eyes attract to the Yankees young stars.
Targets: Gardner, Carter
Cincinnati Reds @ L.A. Dodgers- Joey Votto and Scooter Gannet are both swinging the bat well of late. We know of Gannet’s great game the other night but he is still .330 over the last week and .306 on the season. He will be a great play as the Dodgers are sending Ryu to the mound. Cozart is also having a great season as he is quietly hitting, .342 with 9 home runs this season.
Targets:Gannet, Cozart

This line up leaves $400 left over. If Leon isn’t in the line up for Boston this can give you flexibility to get another catcher. Vazquez, is back up is only $300 more and they have the late game so make sure you check your line up before it starts because there is no game after them.
