The Mets are beginning to climb out of the basement and score some runs this season.  Jay Bruce has been red hot, however, it all boils down to Jose Reyes.  He started the season out miserably but he has been scorching hot, hitting the ball well and scoring runs.

Porcello got his second win on the year as he looks to defend his Cy Young from last year- that won’t happen.  The Red Sox broke out for 11 runs which was enough for Porcello to cruise.  I’m sure Chris Sale will be looking for the same run support as he battles the Twins’ ace Ervin Santana.

We have a full slate of games with some afternoon games so let’s get to it.

Low-Scoring Plays

Boston Red Sox @ Minnesota Twins – I talked above about this game, but this will be the pitching matchup of the day.  Sale strikes out anyone he wants whenever he wants, and Santana is already a 5-game winner. Santana has been getting run support this year, however, after a big game by the Sox yesterday, and Chris Sale on the mound, the Twins shouldn’t be able to make much noise.  Eventually Sale won’t strike out everyone and get roughed up, and eventually Santana will lose a game. This game will be low-scoring and the Red Sox will win if they can get on base and get Santana out of this game early.

Targets: Sale, Benintendi
