Big news coming out of Miami last night, as it looks like Derek Jeter will become the new team owner. He and Governor Jeb Bush won an auction for the Marlins, and the final step is that they have to be approved by 75% of the other owners. We had some big action on the diamond as well. Trea Turner had an incredible night as he hit for the cycle and drove in 7 runs. Even after that, the Nationals only won by 3. The Tigers racked up the runs last night as the ball was flying around the ballpark. Last night we had some rain outs on the east coast so pitchers may have been shuffled around.
Low-Scoring Plays
Atlanta Braves @ New York Mets – Due to the rain out the Mets are able to skip their starter and put Syndergaard on the mound. The Braves have hit .271 off of Syndergaard, and Freddie Freeman is the only one that hit a home run. The Braves are 28th in runs scored this season and shouldn’t be a threat to Syndergaard. On the other side the Mets are batting a whopping .210 on the season. Jose Reyes and Granderson are nowhere to be found but, luckily, Cespedes is back.
Targets: Syndergaard, Cespedes
