Last night, the Yankees won again, picking up their 8th consecutive victory. That is very impressive considering how young they are and the lack of pitching. They are hitting the ball well, especially at home – where they haven’t lost. Boston took down the Rays, where their closer had one less strike out than their starter. Ichiro got the opportunity to play in Seattle where he was greeted warmly. The first pitch tonight is 7:05 so you have time to tinker with your line up to complete perfection.
Low-Scoring Plays
Washington Nationals @ Atlanta Braves – Scherzer will do his thing in this game and cruise against the Braves. Mike Foltynewicz has limited appearances against the Nationals’ line up. Bryce Harper is 0-3 against him, but Murphy is 4-7. His ERA is high so far this year, however, I think he will rise to the competition and perform well against the Nationals.
Targets: Scherzer, Murphy
Philadelphia Phillies @ New York Mets – This is a tough one. Last time these teams faced off, Cespedes bashed in the Phillies and the Mets were rolling. Since then, the Mets have cooled off and will be playing at Citi Field. We have seen Cespedes hit bombs at Citi Field as well, but the bigger ball park will make it a bit more difficult.
Targets: Wheeler, Walker, Duda
