Of course, it depends on health. In a sport where a collective group of grown men share a singular objective of bringing another man to the ground, health is an undeniable concern. Using this reality as a blanket statement allows for a crutch.
In fairness, we have made similar claims. There is truth to the comment that an undefined injury to a key player has unpredictable consequences. But, while we may not know the extent of said ailment, we certainly know it exists, and this is enough to draw some level of conclusion.
