We always try to give a wide range of games in this particular article simply for the fact of spreading our ideas and not repeating ourselves. In Week 6, that was nearly impossible. Between the smaller slate — cut by an additional game because of the early London matchup — and the clear paths that both authors of this column could see for a few matchups, we landed in similar mindsets as a whole.

A Note from Mario: After a few subpar weeks to start the year, these picks went 3-1 for the second consecutive time. Let’s look to keep rolling. I will continue to provide them as I see fit, but please do your research and play responsibly.

Kansas City Chiefs at Washington Football Team

This game may very well jump out to everyone as an obvious game to target, but sometimes that is for very good reason. Much like after their Week 3 loss to the Chargers, the Chiefs have a chance to bounce back against an NFC opponent that is far below their talent level. I am expecting a similar type of rebound like we saw against the Eagles when the Chiefs poured on 42 points on 471 yards of offense. Their roster appears to still be great, but the Washington defense is clearly different this year, and the results have been ugly, so look for the Chiefs to take advantage. The Washington offense typically isn’t one of our favorite groups either, but they have been basically league average in all major metrics. League average may not sound like much, but against a Chiefs defense that is almost undeniably the worst defense in the league, league average is more than enough to put up plenty of yards and points of their own. The other main appeal for Washington is that with both Logan Thomas and Curtis Samuel out, their targets are fairly limited which should lead to reliable workloads for their remaining skill position players.
