We mentioned the changes we made to the game-by-game analysis, but we’ve also added this separate column for our users. In it, we detail a few games that we expect to be particularly high-scoring or low-scoring, especially compared to common opinion. Use this column to determine which games to stack, avoid, or use for your over-under picks.
A Note from Mario: While my strength is in picking games against-the-spread, I do take some chances with over-under picks every so often. I will throw them in here as suggestions, but know that they are less proven than the against-the-spread picks. As always, do your research, and play responsibly.
In the world of daily fantasy roster construction, ‘stacking’ players from the same team can often lead to big results. In this column of games to target in Week 1, Luke and Mario will give their thoughts on a few games that are worth watching for fantasy purposes, and whether they like the value or feel the game is getting too much attention.

Los Angeles Rams at Carolina Panthers
Of all the games on the main slate, this one is my favorite potential game stack. The majority of my excitement is on the Panthers side as I’m expecting a surprise showing from them against the defending NFC champions. I think the football community is somewhat forgetting how dynamic Cam Newton can be when he’s healthy after he suffered through injuries for much of last season. Between him, the dynamic Christian McCaffrey and his two speedy wide receivers – D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel – this offense has a chance to jump on the Rams’ defense. I am not in love with the Rams’ offense due to a variety of concerns, but I’m a firm believer in game scripts, and if the Panthers produce how I expect them too, the Rams will find themselves in a pass-heavy offense which makes any of their top wide receivers viable options to cover both sides of this game.
