Based on our expected Week 2 DFS game flow analysis and Week 2 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 2 Plays:
Quarterback
Bo Nix – The first career start for Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix left a lot to be desired, but he actually turned in a reasonable DraftKings score in the end. Most of it came from his running ability which led to 35 yards on the ground and a touchdown. It was enough to overcome a performance with two interceptions and no touchdown passes thrown. Nix has a tough battle against a stout Steelers defense, but he would greatly outperform his salary if he can keep moving on the ground and possibly find the end zone at least once through the air.
Joe Burrow – Not only did Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow have a horrible game on Opening Day, but questions are now surfacing about his health status. Is he fully healed from last year’s wrist injury? Will he show anything more than the 8.1 fantasy points he scored on DraftKings? The reality is that he will need to deliver one of his better games if he wants to avoid his team falling into an 0-2 hole as Cincinnati travels to face the defending Super Bowl champions in Kansas City. The good news for Burrow is that he has won both of his regular season starts against the Chiefs and thrown six combined touchdowns without an interception in those two games.
