Based on our expected Week 17 DFS game flow analysis and Week 17 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 17 Plays:
Quarterback
Baker Mayfield – We have found the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to be a little too overvalued for us on a regular basis, but that changes on Sunday. We are expecting a solid offensive output, and that has to start with quarterback Baker Mayfield. The team is 7-3 when throwing for at least 200 yards and 1-4 otherwise. In addition, Mayfield has thrown nine touchdowns over the last three games. What’s more impressive is that this isn’t even his best stretch of the season. At one point, he had ten touchdowns in a three-game span. Mayfield has already set a career-high for touchdown passes in a season and is closing in a new high watermark for passing yards. We’re ready to use him in our lineups this week.
Jordan Love – There is absolutely a risk in targeting a team that has scored at least 30 points in five consecutive weeks, but we are a little more comfortable doing so because of how consistent the Green Bay Packers have been. Specifically, despite scoring at least 30 points eight times on the year, they have yet to reach 40 and have only fallen below 20 points twice on the year. Simply put, the Packers land in a rather tight range, and it’s one we want can expect regularly. Quarterback Jordan Love has obviously been a key to the team’s offensive success, and he has now thrown a touchdown pass in six consecutive games. The better sign for Love is that he has not thrown an interception in the last five games after tossing a whopping 11 through his first eight contests. The matchup against the Minnesota Vikings looks difficult on paper because of Minnesota’s impressive record, but the Vikings are actually beatable through-the-air, allowing the third-most passing yards in the league.
