Based on our expected Week 15 DFS game flow analysis and Week 15 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 15 Plays:

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts – We actually haven’t written much about Jalen Hurts this year, but it’s largely because his salary has been too high for how we expected him to perform on a week-to-week basis. Hurts has clearly delivered, though, and we’re finally taking the plunge and paying the premium. Why this time? Because it appears that this might actually be the week where he will be relatively ignored compared to prior games. That’s because he is facing the Steelers’ top-ten defense — in basically every category of importance — and, at his salary, we expect other fantasy managers to look elsewhere. We’ll target Hurts and his extremely high floor driven by scoring a rushing touchdown in seven-of-his-last-eight games.

Patrick Mahomes – Patrick Mahomes has been relatively average in fantasy football compared to what we have seen in the past and what we know he is capable of doing, but that also gives us a chance to target him in a matchup against one of the worst pass defenses in the league — the Cleveland Browns are allowing the fourth-most net-yards-per-pass-attempt and forcing the fourth-fewest interceptions. On top of that, the Kansas City Chiefs are likely primed for a positive correction, as Kansas City has now scored fewer than twenty points in back-to-back games. That hasn’t happened since, conveniently, Weeks 13 and 14 of last season. And what happened in Week 15 of last season? 27 points on 305 passing yards. We’re obviously not expecting an exact replica of last year, but there is a clear path to a solid day laid out for Mahomes.
