Based on our expected Week 11 DFS game flow analysis and Week 11 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 11 Plays:
Quarterback
Geno Smith – This is not the first time we have used Geno Smith in our lineups, and it probably won’t be the last. It’s largely because the Seattle Seahawks are hovering around a .500 record and, given a particular matchup, need to throw in order to keep pace. Such is the expectation for Sunday, just like it was the last time these the Seahawks faced the 49ers. He threw 52 passes in that game — his second-most of the season — for 312 yards. We will always take that type of potential at a reasonable salary.
Jameis Winston – We’re playing for the upside with Jameis Winston and why shouldn’t we? In addition to playing against one of his former teams in the Saints, he has five touchdown passes on the season, and his salary is laughably low. He carries value if his team falls behind and needs to throw constantly, but he is also simply a low risk play where we can withstand a subdued performance in the unfortunate event that he never truly gets comfortable in the game.
