Based on our expected Week 1 DFS game flow analysis and Week 1 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 1 Plays:
Quarterback
Bryce Young – I’m always willing to buy into a post-hype ‘sleeper,’ but I’m even more aggressive with it when the circumstances around said player has changed. Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young simply looked overmatched last year, but the organization isn’t ready to give up on him. Neither am I. The Panthers have a new head coach, offensive coordinator, and top wide receiver — Diontae Johnson — and I love the idea of Young making a statement to kick off the season.
Jayden Daniels – We’ve seen how dynamic and helpful running quarterbacks are when putting together DFS lineups, and we have the opportunity to add one at a reasonable salary in Jayden Daniels. The real value with Daniels is that, in spite of the unknown, he is relatively gameflow-proof on Sunday. If the Washington Commanders trail, he will be asked to take over the game and inflate his volume. If not, he probably had to use his legs to establish the lead in the first place.
