Last week, we wrote that we were getting away from the ‘stars-and-scrubs’ approach we had used in prior slates. We aren’t necessarily going back to it here, but we are clearly spending our salary in a few positions because of the savings we can get elsewhere.
Based on our expected Week 12 DFS game flow analysis and Week 12 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 12 Plays:
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence – It’s always dangerous to target a player who just exploded for a season-high total of fantasy points, but Trevor Lawrence isn’t on our radar because of what he did last week. He’s one of the top quarterback options because of his matchup against a tough divisional rival in the Houston Texans. When Lawrence last faced the Texans, he tossed 40 passes — as of now, his second-highest total of the season. Lawrence will need to have success if he and the Jacksonville Jaguars want to hold off the surging Texans, and Houston’s glaring weakness on defense is its inability to stop the passing attack. The Texans have actually allowed the third-fewest passing touchdowns in the league, but they rank eighth-worst in both yards-per-game and net-yards-per-pass-attempt.
