We wrote about it other articles this week, but the obvious flurry of news — between the major trade or the number of players returning from injury — is going to play a key role in how DFS lineups are built for Sunday. We made it a point to take some calculated risk in this area, but we should all be ready to pivot off some players at a moment’s notice.
Based on our expected Week 7 DFS game flow analysis and Week 7 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 7 Plays:
Quarterback
Davis Mills – It’s always fun to write about players like Davis Mills because we are left reminding ourselves that someone new can deliver on any given weekend. Mills is about to start the seventeenth game of his career — the length of the new season in the National Football League — and has only eclipsed 300 passing yards in four of them. Still, he has thrown at least two touchdown passes in a game seven times and has a matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders looming. The Raiders are allowing the second-most yards-per-game and might quickly force Mills and the Texans’ offense into a position where they would need to throw. We will gladly take any route to a respectable DFS score, and there are a few different avenues for Mills on Sunday.
Aaron Rodgers – We are certainly among the many concerned by the Green Bay Packers’ start to the season, but we are also adamant in pointing out that yards gained on offense without points scored is a solid recipe for a positive correction. That’s exactly what the Packers are experiencing right now, as they rank 15th in yards and only 24th in points. The key to the offense remains quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and he will now face a Washington Commanders defense that has allowed the fifth-most passing touchdowns in the league.
