We technically have a smaller main slate on Sunday because of the early game in London, but the good news is that we have plenty of options for our DFS lineups. In fact, this was one of the easier groups of lineups to build thanks to a large number of teams or players in positive setups.
Based on our expected Week 4 DFS game flow analysis and Week 4 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 4 Plays:
Quarterback
Russell Wilson – We’ve written about the Denver Broncos and their struggles on offense since the start of the season, but we have also written about the confidence we have in quarterback Russell Wilson. Simply put, he has found ways to win in spite of his surroundings so many times in the past that even this current downtrend for the Broncos’ offense doesn’t force him off our radar. If anything, we can use Wilson at a lower price tag against a defense that has allowed at least 250 passing yards to every opponent this year. It’s still a risk to use Wilson in the event that his team remains overly conservative, but his own personal upside is outstanding for his salary.
Geno Smith – The Seattle Seahawks made the infamous move to trade Russell Wilson to the Broncos this past offseason and, in doing so, they specifically wanted Drew Lock in the deal. Fast-forward to the end of the preseason, and Lock was officially the backup to Geno Smith. What has Smith done with the role? He has a league-leading 77.5 completion percentage. And the numbers aren’t hollow, either. He has already eclipsed 100 pass attempts for the first time in eight years, and his QBR is the highest of his career. He will now face a Lions defense that is allowing the fourth-most yards-per-game. Smith must be considered for a DFS lineup on Sunday.
