Prices will continue to fluctuate throughout the first few weeks of the season, and we are seeing that it is still a little tricky to fit everyone we desire into the same lineup. The good news is that some salaries are still too low for players with upside, and we can continue to target these relative values.

Based on our expected Week 3 DFS game flow analysis and Week 3 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 3 Plays:

Quarterback

Kirk Cousins – While it is never easy to speak or write these words, Kirk Cousins figures to be one of the top quarterbacks of the week. This feels like some sort of impossible phenomenon that has no explanation, yet you can count on it without fail. New season begins, Kirk Cousins shines, Kirk Cousins plays extremely poorly in a Primetime game, the world gives up on Kirk Cousins, Kirk Cousins shines again, and the cycle goes on and on. Expectations for the Vikings were pretty high, and they hit those expectations in Week 1 before crashing hard in Week 2 on MNF. Now, they aim to bounce back against a Lions team that has allowed the third most yards and second most points. Between the recent disappointment, the tremendous matchup, the home field advantage, and the cozy 1:00pm kickoff on Sunday, Cousins is in perfect position to have a huge game.

Carson Wentz – We always advise against trying to chase fantasy points, but we also highlight when a player is in an excellent position to perform well. Technically, both of those situations apply to Carson Wentz of the Washington Commanders, as he is almost certainly going to need to continue with his high passing volume if he wants to lead his team to victory. Almost all game scripts run through him, especially if the Philadelphia Eagles can continue to build on their hot start and put points on the board early — where Wentz will be throwing for the remainder of the game.
