As we will see in so many articles over the final two weeks of the season, expectations for final seeding and postseason berths will likely be at the forefront of everyone’s minds. In some cases, they will be correct. In others, we can use this information to find players that have been forgotten.

Based on our expected Week 17 DFS game flow analysis and Week 17 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 17 Plays:

Quarterback

Justin Fields – As we have written in the past, Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is on this list because of his extreme rushing ability and how that translates well to a DFS score. That actually isn’t the case for Sunday. Fields does, indeed, have the speed that can carry him past defenders and raise his fantasy floor, but the reality is that a matchup against the league’s worst defense makes him have arguably the highest ceiling of any other quarterback on the slate. His salary is obviously high as a result but, in a division game where his team has already done well offensively in the past, there’s a great opportunity for a tournament-winning score from Fields.

Tom Brady – The other quarterback on our list is basically the exact opposite of the aforementioned Fields. Tom Brady doesn’t run — although he did have at least two rushing touchdowns in each of the prior four seasons — and his matchup against the Carolina Panthers’ defense is much more difficult than Fields’ game against the Lions, but we’re targeting the big picture production here. Brady is on the verge of leading his team to another playoff berth and, with the struggles we have seen from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense, a victory would likely need to land on Brady’s shoulders. Perhaps most importantly, he will be extremely overlooked this weekend and has sneaky potential given his team’s setup.
