With the main schedule of games being played on Christmas Eve, we followed suit and directed this column toward the Saturday afternoon contests. As always, there are plenty of matchups to consider but, as we wrote in the game-by-game analysis article, there are also weather impacts to keep in mind. That wasn’t necessarily a driving force for any of these decisions, but it adds to how unique Week 16 is compared to the rest of the year.
Based on our expected Week 16 DFS game flow analysis and Week 16 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 16 Plays:
Quarterback
Geno Smith – At this point of the season, there is no convincing needed for Geno Smith. He started the year as a major question mark, but has delivered such an impressive campaign that he is among the best quarterbacks in the league. We have, however, seen his Seattle Seahawks decline over recent weeks, and that was more aligned with preseason expectations. Saturday presents arguably the most difficult challenge to date for Smith and the Seahawks, but the Kansas City Chiefs scoring often should only benefit Seattle’s passing game. The volume will almost certainly get inflated as a result, and Smith’s current production should be all we need for a solid DFS output.
