As we have written in our prior articles this week, the small schedule of games does not necessarily lead to a lower number of options. This was actually one of our favorite groups of lineups to build, and we ended up making more lineups than we would on a typical week.

Based on our expected Week 14 DFS game flow analysis and Week 14 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 14 Plays:

Quarterback

Jared Goff – Jared Goff doesn’t get a lot of love these days, but he is quietly putting together a very good season in Detroit once again. Goff has already eclipsed 3,000 yards through the air and sits at 8th in the league in passing yards. On top of that, Goff is 10th in the league in yards per pass attempt and passing touchdowns. Thanks in large part to Goff’s production, the Lions offense is 7th in the league in total yards and 6th in scoring. That is an impressive collection of statistics for Goff and the Lions, and they have feasted against poor defenses all season long. This week, they get their shot at redemption against their division rival Vikings who stole a victory from them back in Week 3. There is no team in the league that allows more passing yards per game than the Vikings, so Goff couldn’t get a much better matchup. Goff also has the added bonus — at least for fantasy football purposes — of playing opposite a defense that ranks 32nd in the league in yards and scoring. The Vikings should be able to score at will against Detroit, and Goff is going to be busy doing his best to keep his team in what could be the highest scoring game of the week.

Josh Allen – If the New York Jets want to pull off a second ‘upset’ over the Buffalo Bills this season, it will have to be in a repeat performance of the first. That is, the Jets will need to slow down quarterback Josh Allen. It’s certainly possible since it would obviously not be the first time, but Buffalo undoubtedly made adjustments after the two teams’ last meeting. In addition, the Jets’ defense — which has been excellent this year — finally cracked to the tune of 27 points allowed last week, and Buffalo previously suffered its lowest point total of the season against New York — where the positive correction would coincide with the Jets’ regression.
