Every week tends to have its own trend, and this one was no different. We found ourselves overloaded with players from one position where the rest were relatively light. There was certainly some salary gymnastics to perform in order to make these players join together into a lineup.

Based on our expected Week 13 DFS game flow analysis and Week 13 DFS Overview published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 13 Plays:

Quarterback

Joe Burrow – We typically see the highest ceilings at the quarterback position among those whose who run the most, but Joe Burrow has the ability to pop into that conversation any given week. Burrow has managed to score over 30 fantasy points in three different games this year including a top performance of 42.2 points which is an amazing ceiling performance. That elite ceiling is accompanied by a really safe floor considering he is yet to score fewer than 15 points in a single game. All of that information alone makes him a great weekly start, but the matchup with the Chiefs this week is the ultimate reason to invest. The Chiefs defense is never one to really be afraid of, but the existence of Patrick Mahomes and the league’s best offense on the other side of the field gives this game all the makings of a back and forth high-scoring affair. Putting Ja’Marr Chase back in the mix this week is the cherry on top for the young star quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers – We keep seeing signs and further confirmation that the Green Bay Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers simply aren’t going to make any strides forward this year, but we are also planning a lineup for a one-week timeframe and, in that snapshot, there is tremendous potential. Rodgers has thrived against the Chicago Bears in the past, but highlighting him as a possible quarterback play for this week isn’t even about his history. Presently, Chicago has one of the worst defenses in the league, and we haven’t even seen the full effect of their prior trades reflected in the numbers — were the overall season averages have not yet fully crumbled. Simply put, the Bears have allowed at least 31 points in four-of-their-last-five games, and Rodgers appears healthy enough to start. For his low price tag, his upside is outstanding.
