While we wrote about the effects of COVID-19 on Week 15 in every other article, it actually does not have an impact on how we built our lineups. At this point, we are no less certain about a player than we would have been on any other week, so we can proceed with the same level of relative confidence.
Based on our expected Week 15 DFS game flow analysis and Week 15 Games to Target published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 15 Plays:
Quarterback
Josh Allen – We have been buying into Josh Allen frequently over the past few weeks and, not surprisingly, his team has actually struggled in that time span. This is “not surprising” because we often prefer Allen when the Buffalo Bills are not going to roll to a victory with ease. That approach changes slightly on Sunday, where the general game expectation is in Buffalo’s favor, but the matchup against the Carolina Panthers’ defense is not ideal. Once again, this is where we like to be aggressive with Allen, as the Bills will need him to perform well in order to breakthrough against Carolina.
Trevor Lawrence – As we have made quite clear throughout this week’s articles — and we will see again later in this column — we are looking to gain exposure to the Jacksonville Jaguars specifically because of the change at their head coaching position. Jacksonville had been one of the most pathetic squads in recent memory, and the offense has been a sputtering mess. It ranks third-worst in yards-per-game, and the team has yet to score more than 23 points in a single game all year — it actually has more games under ten points than over 20. The entire culture around the team should be different for Sunday’s game, and that likely starts with rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence showing his potential without the shadow of his former head coach looming.
