We continue to write about how the main slate for Sunday is naturally smaller because of the teams that have already played on Thanksgiving, but this has not hindered our ability to find solid DFS plays. If anything, it has helped, as we enter the main slate with a list of targets that fit most of our necessary criteria.

Based on our expected Week 12 DFS game flow analysis and Week 12 Games to Target published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 12 Plays:

Quarterback

Tom Brady – As usual, writing about using Tom Brady in a lineup is not the same as making a case for Tom Brady on a weekly basis. The latter simply isn’t necessary. Brady is easily one of the top targets of the weekend, and he deserves consideration if salary allows. He will have a moderately difficult matchup against an Indianapolis Colts defense that thrives on takeaways with the most in the league, but it has also allowed the second-most passing touchdowns to date. That ‘all-or-nothing’ mentality for a defense is exactly what we want when looking at quarterbacks capable of taking advantage of mistakes. Brady is one of those quarterbacks.

Matt Ryan – We have written about the recent struggles of the Falcons in numerous places this week, and it’s clear that we are looking for the offense to rebound and deliver. After three total points in their last two games, the Falcons are the poster child for being overdue for a good game. We love a team coming off a zero-point performance, so here we are touting the Falcons. The positive with the Falcons is that if they do well, that means quarterback Matt Ryan has done well because he has been the center of their offense for as long as we can remember. The Falcons’ positive regression is an appealing fact in its own right, but adding in the fact that the Jaguars’ defense ranks 29th in net yards allowed per pass attempt and 25th in points allowed is a huge bonus.

Zach Wilson – It’s definitely not easy to stomach, but Zach Wilson should be on everyone’s radar for Sunday. The New York Jets have had a truly disastrous season, but the one saving grace would be the development of their rookie quarterback. “Would be,” in the sense that no development has currently taken place. Wilson spent the last few weeks on the sideline dealing with an injury and hearing the growing volume of the doubters, and he arguably has his best matchup in a winnable game against the Houston Texans. His price is incredibly low and his ceiling is actually quite high considering that he may return to game action more prepared than he was originally.
