If you’ve been following along with out fantasy articles, then it should come as no surprise as to which games will serve as the source for our lineups on Sunday. We’ve already mentioned where we expect defense to thrive, and the teams that are set up nicely for offense will help fill our rosters.
Based on our expected Week 5 DFS game flow analysis and Week 5 Games to Target published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 5 Plays:
Quarterback
Tom Brady – “Tom Brady didn’t look great in his last outing.” We should not only lead with that line, but possibly make it the entire blurb. Because history continues to prove that, whenever people start to doubt Brady, he delivers. It’s not hard to see why. If he’s not the greatest quarterback of All-Time, he’s one of the few in the conversation. He continually proves it by precisely taking the aforementioned comment and negating it with his on-field play. People are still doubting him, however, and they are using the game against the Bills as the only piece of evidence. That’s fine. Let those people be the ones to miss the opportunity. Against Washington’s defense – which has allowed the third-most passing touchdowns in the league – Brady should change the narrative back in his favor, yet again.
Andy Dalton – The stink from last week’s Monday Night Football game has worn off just enough for us to be comfortable placing Dalton into our lineups. The Steelers have an underrated defenses that was able to provide constant pressure all game long. The Cardinals have no such defense. The Cardinals rank 23rd in passing yards allowed per game, 30th in points against per game and 31st in total yards against per game. Simply put, this is a defense that has been picked apart week after week, and the Bengals should be able to do the same. Dalton has played relatively well this year, outside of last week, with games of 418, 311and 250 passing yards apiece. Lock and Load the ‘Red Rifle’ this week.
