We have finally reached the end of the regular season, and not a moment too soon. Simply put, the DFS options are a mess for Sunday. It was not overly difficult to navigate through the teams that are likely to be resting players, but it was a chore to find the right options that fit.

Based on our expected Week 17 DFS game flow analysis and Week 17 Games to Target published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 17 Plays:

Quarterback

Matt Ryan – As we’ve discussed throughout the week, the Atlanta Falcons game one of the easiest to love for fantasy purposes. Either quarterback makes for a great target, but Matt Ryan gets the slight edge this week primarily due to the slightly better matchup and the lesser likelihood for turnovers and negative points. Despite all the struggles the Falcons have had, Ryan is in the midst of another productive season, and had an ideal situation to end on a high note. Games involving the Buccaneers have a tendency to produce points, and the Falcons are absolutely capable of holding up their end against one of the worst pass defenses in the league.

Robert Griffin III – We are certainly living in risky territory by looking at Robert Griffin III for our fantasy lineups, but consider the possibility that the Baltimore Ravens know how to use him. The team catered their system around Lamar Jackson’s strengths and, for a game, doesn’t it seem plausible that they will do the same for Griffin? There is the possibility that the Ravens don’t exclusively use Griffin, but that should be the biggest concern. In terms of fantasy production, he provides great value at a low price.

Carson Wentz – Don’t look now, but quarterback Carson Wentz has scored at least 20 fantasy points on DraftKings for four consecutive weeks. It doesn’t sound like much, but the consistency is exactly what we need in Week 17. There are questions surrounding many teams and their players entering the final week of the season. Not the Philadelphia Eagles. And not Wentz. They are, again, in a ‘must-win’ position – technically not but practically they are – and Wentz has proven capable of steadily delivering. He isn’t on this list because of the importance of the game, but it helps in a week with so much uncertainty elsewhere.
