We don’t usually aim to target a specific game or two, but it is always noteworthy when it happens organically. Such is the case on Sunday, where we find many of our targets coming from the same matchups, despite different authors’ opinions as to which are the ‘best’ to use. Perhaps this is due to the decent amount of clear game flow projections that should meet our expectations for the players involved.
Based on our expected Week 12 DFS game flow analysis performed earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 12 Plays:
Quarterback
Carson Wentz – Carson Wentz was our unanimous top choice at quarterback, last week, and he was a massive disappointment. What’s more concerning is that the game flow and matchup were perfect for a big day from Wentz, and he still failed to deliver. This does not mean that we should move away from Wetnz and, often times, buying back into a player after he missed his mark by a large margin is often wise, and we can even enjoy a decent discount from last week’s inflated price. The game flow on Sunday might not be as ideal as it was in Week 11, but the Eagles are still holding out hope for a return to the playoffs, and it will almost certainly require a win against the Giants. This forces Wentz to be in a position to shine.
Eli Manning – Believe-it-or-not, Eli Manning has been a fantasy star over the past two weeks and, not surprisingly, this has led to two wins for the formerly 1-7 Giants. Therefore, even if New York can’t pull off the outright ‘upset’ victory in Philadelphia on Sunday, we can expect Manning to be tasked with leading the charge. And, with the Eagles attempting to save their own season – which is noted in Carson Wentz’s writeup – the Giants’ offense will need to perform if it wants to keep pace.
