With only eight teams in-play this weekend, there was always going to be some oddities in the pricing. The unique trend, however, is not that pricing is wacky, but rather balanced. Because there are so many possibilities to pivot from one player to another and not lose too much output, the salaries cannot vary that wildly. This basically allows all lineups to follow the same build style, where you can use a few studs with a decent amount of mid-priced options and not have to go with the ‘stars-and-scrubs’ approach.
Based on our expected Divisional Round DFS game flow analysis published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Divisional Round Plays:
Quarterback
Josh Allen – We aren’t breaking any news here by listing Josh Allen as one of our top quarterback plays, but there is a fair possibility that his path to a high score is actually rocky. The Cincinnati Bengals will not be an easy team to topple, but there is a high likelihood that the game is close throughout. That would naturally force the Buffalo Bills to lean on Allen even more than usual, and we have seen that also produce additional rushing opportunities. Simply put, the matchup may not appear to be perfect, but the potential is massive.
Dak Prescott – Last week, we wrote about Dak Prescott as one of our top plays, and he did not disappoint. The reason why were so aggressive in targeting him, however, was because the perception around him was still negative as a carryover from the end of the regular season. Now that Prescott just exploded, there is a slightly higher expectation for him, but that could be countered by the matchup with a stout San Francisco 49ers defense. Ultimately, we still have extreme confidence in Prescott and, in a weekend where multiple quarterback options are justified, we like the lack of attention on him.
