Pricing is always going to play a role in the decisions we make when building a DFS lineup, but we are actually given a nice break for the Wild Card Round. Because of how many highly-talented offensive players will take the field, the overall field of players is more balanced in terms of salaries. Of course, some stand above the rest, but there are too many valuable names to underprice or overprice anyone. We can essentially build however we see fit.

Based on our expected Wild Card Round DFS game flow analysis published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Wild Card Round Plays:

Quarterback

Dak Prescott – It feels like every storyline surrounding the Dallas Cowboys includes the mention of “pressure” and, while we acknowledge that Dallas is playing a home game in the postseason with the league’s top-rated offense in both yards and points, we also need to look at the reason why the team has done so well. That is, quarterback Dak Prescott has returned from his leg injury admirably and is playing at his highest level. Maybe the Cowboys can’t pull off the outright win, but it won’t be because Prescott suddenly forgets how to perform. The Cowboys have constantly asked him to carry the workload, and his numbers have thrived in such situations. He has immense potential on Sunday.

Jalen Hurts – We often write about a quarterback on a team that many expect will lose simply because said quarterback should see high volume in such a setup. That is, only if he loses. In the case of Jalen Hurts, he has two paths to delivering a high fantasy output where, instead of the uptick in volume as his team attempts a comeback, he could be instrumental in the Philadelphia Eagles pulling off the road ‘upset.’ It’s not entirely likely, but Hurts has also emerged as a much better passer in recent weeks. The Eagles have not been spectacular on offense this year, but they are a tough out that competes to the end. That bodes well for Hurts and his numbers.
