We continue to write about how the two-game slate has its own unique approach, but it’s clear that pricing is limiting certain combinations. Essentially, almost everyone has a fair salary — neither good nor bad, but coinciding with how we view a player in these specific matchups. This does force us to be somewhat creative, as it is unavoidable to find inexpensive options somewhere.
Based on our expected Conference Championship DFS game flow analysis published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Conference Championship Round Plays:
Quarterback
Joe Burrow – It’s all about pricing versus potential when it comes to Joe Burrow on Sunday, but this is actually the complete opposite of what we have written about him and the Cincinnati Bengals for weeks. Usually, we are highlighting the consistent ‘floor’ for Cincinnati’s offense, where it regularly scores at least 22 points and gives a baseline that can help the rest of a DFS lineup. That actually isn’t the case right now. The Bengals scored just 19 points last week and still won. That’s not overly likely against the Kansas City Chiefs. Cincinnati will need to move the ball on offense, and a high-powered, big-play attack is exactly how the Bengals pulled off the previous ‘upset’ of the Chiefs. That may not happen again, but Cincinnati will need to throw, and that forces us to target Burrow’s ceiling. It’s extremely high, and he offers a solid discount from the top-priced quarterback in Patrick Mahomes.
