With just two games — and stars everywhere — we found that it was relatively easy to narrow down our player pool, but somewhat tricky to fit them all into a lineup. Overall, pricing was not disastrous, and the ability to move from one player to the next without losing tremendous upside made most combinations of players possible.
Based on our expected Conference Championship DFS game flow analysis published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Conference Championship Round Plays:
Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers – In an honest moment, we found that we could have realistically used any of the four starting quarterbacks in our main lineups, but Aaron Rodgers gets a boost for both his salary savings compared to Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen as well as the potential to deliver. If, for no other reason, we can see Rodgers being slightly under-priced solely because of his lone bad game of this season, which came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Not only has the Buccaneers’ defense regressed to the mean over the last few months, but Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers’ offense has elevated to another level. There is a significant possibility that Green Bay’s output is capped on Sunday because Tampa Bay is capable of slowing down most teams, but the ceiling was so high to start that any decrease can still lead to a big day. More importantly, if the Buccaneers do put pressure on the Packers, Green Bay will put the game on the arm of the league’s probable Most Valuable Player.
