Now that nearly half of the 2016 NFL season has been played, most of the daily fantasy options are beginning to align correctly with their respective prices. Because of this, the middle tier of price is rather devoid of talent, as most players have either moved up into the more expensive class or dropped into the bargain bin due to a continued lack of production.
Each week offers a different strategy regarding how to assemble a daily fantasy lineup, but Week 7 basically forces our hand to go with a boom-or-bust approach. With the necessity to own one or two of the highest-priced options, we also have a few players that whose salaries are far below their basement projections.

Based on our expected Week 7 DFS game flow analysis performed earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 7 Plays:
Quarterback
Blake Bortles – Blake Bortles has made our list of quarterbacks to target on numerous occasions, but he has been a relative disappointment compared to our expectations. That changes on Sunday, as Bortles faces a Raiders team last in the league in yards allowed. Win or lose, Jacksonville will almost certainly be able to move the ball, this week, and Bortles should finally break out along with the rest of the Jaguars’ offense that has under-delivered for much of 2016.
Colin Kaepernick – Undoubtedly, a high risk-reward player for Week 7, Colin Kaepernick returns to San Francisco for the first time as a starting quarterback in a home game. The shift from Buffalo’s defense to Tampa Bay’s should immediately boost Kaepernick’s numbers – the Buccaneers have allowed the third-most net-yards-per-pass-attempt – but his ability and willingness to run with the ball provides inexpensive points for fantasy owners.
