Welcome to the Friday edition of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. Today we have a six-game slate to work with for our DFS needs.

Tonight’s Slate:

New York Islanders @ Washington Capitals (Washington, -220, 6 over/under)
Dallas Stars @ Ottawa Senators (Dallas, -140, 6 over/under)
San Jose Sharks @ Calgary Flames (Calgary, -135. 5.5 over/under)
Nashville Predators @ Colorado Avalanche (Nashville, -140, 5.5 over/under)
Detroit Red Wings @ Anaheim Ducks (Anaheim, -240, 5.5 over/under)
Minnesota Wild @ Vegas Golden Knights (Vegas, -170, 5.5 over/under)

The Nashville Predators at the Colorado Avalanche is an interesting game — though I do wonder what the pace of this game will be like since both of these teams are on the second night of back-to-backs. Still, I am intrigued with a game stack of this one. Since the All-Star break Nashville is sixth in the NHL in scoring with an average of 3.59 goals for per game. Colorado has allowed 3.05 goals against per game since the All-Star break. Nashville has won 11 of their past 12 games and over their past 10 games have a CF% of 54.99 — third-highest in the NHL. Nashville’s SF/60 of 38.08 over the past 10 games is the second highest in the league while Colorado’s SA/60 over that same time frame of 33.99 is tied with the Ottawa Senators for sixth-worst in the NHL. Colorado’s SCA/60 of 29.82 over the past 10 games of 29.82 is the 11th-worst in the NHL — and their HDCA/60 of 11.98 is the ninth-worst in the NHL. On March 2 Nashville outshot Colorado 43-27.

After three straight overtime losses Colorado’s offense has exploded for 10 goals over their past two games to right the ship with two wins (not including March 15 results). Furthermore, Colorado has scored at least one power play goal in eight straight games. Per LeftWingLock, the Landeskog/Mackinnon/Rantanen line has been the fourth-most productive line in the NHL over the past 10 games with nine goals and 114 shot attempts for. It’s certainly a rough matchup as Nashville has been the hardest team to score on since the All-Star break with just 2.23 goals against per game allowed since the All-Star break. Still, the Mackinnon line definitley has to be considered in tournaments.

A very interesting game tonight from a DFS perspective is the
