Tonight we have big 12 game slate to go through for our daily fantasy hockey needs. From those 12 games I want to focus on three teams to target:

Calgary Flames @ San Jose Sharks
St. Louis Blues @ Dallas Stars
Colorado Avalance @ Minnesota Wild

The San Jose Sharks get a Calgary team on the second night of a back-to-back, and Calgary is a team we should attack tonight. Calgary has allowed the ninth-most goals per game this season at 2.88. While Calgary has killed off penalties at a rate of 84.4 percent on the road, they have been shorthanded 64 times in 17 road games — so almost four power play chances against per road game. The San Jose power play should get some chances. Calgary’s CA/60 of 56.54 and San Jose CF/60 of 55.90 indicates we should see a game controlled by San Jose.

Even at even strength San Jose has put up numbers recently. Before scoring only goal against Chicago on Dec. 18 they had scored 15 goals in their prior four games.

While San Jose’s season-long offensive numbers don’t blow us away, their power play is clicking at an NHL third-best 25.5 percent at home. Facing what should be a tired Calgary team that gives up plenty of power play chances our play tonight is to target San Jose’s power play:

Patrick Marleau $5.8K (8G, 4A, 5 PPP, 75 SOG)
Joe Thornton $5.5K (2G, 18A, 8 PPP, 32 SOG)
Logan Couture $6.9K (11G, 9A, 7 PPP, 93 SOG)
Joe Pavelski $7.9K (11G, 17A, 11 PPP, 111 SOG)
(D) Brent Burns $8.2K (13G, 17A, 9 PPP, 133 SOG)

are our top options on the San Jose end tonight.

As far as a line stack our top option is clearly
