Welcome to the Wednesday edition of our Daily Fantasy Hockey Morning Coffee. Today we have a small four-game slate to pick apart.

Boston Bruins @ New York Rangers
Montreal Canadiens @ New York Islanders
Washington Capitals @ Edmonton Oilers
Nashville Predators @ Anaheim Ducks

Boston is on the road on the second night of a back-to-back. Their goaltender situation leaves much to be desired and they are playing a New York team that has scored 3.67 goals per game — good for third-best in the NHL. To put it mildly, Boston is in a rough spot. Malcolm Subban was pulled in the second period last night after allowing three second period goals.  At some point we have to wonder if Subban is an NHL caliber goaltender. In fairness to Subban, Boston’s defense didn’t do him any favors. Zane McIntyre will get the start for Boston tonight but he is not available to roster on FanDuel.

Boston’s recent offensive struggles now have them ranked 25th in the NHL with only 2.5 goals per game. Boston also sits at a second-worst two power play goals in 23 chances. The Rangers are eighth-best in the NHL with only 2.67 goals allowed per game.

The Rangers were third in the NHL last season with 130 goals at home and they have scored 16 goals over four games at home this season.

On some sites, we are seeing New York as the favorite (-185) with a 5.5 over/under.

With all that being said, the top two lines for New York are both in play:

Line 1:

Jimmy Vesey $4.1K (3G, 1 PPG, 11 SOG)
Derek Stepan $6.3K (3A, 1 PPP, 16 SOG)
Rick Nash $6.6K (2G, 1A, 1 PPP, 20 SOG)

Line 2:

J.T. Miller $4.8K (2G, 2A, 1 PPG, 17 SOG)
